Restored Landmark House in East Hampton

Restored Landmark House in East Hampton
The restoration and expansion of this historic and landmarked house in East Hampton includes the renovation of the existing 18th century core Main House, removal of non-historic additions made by previous owners, and the construction of new, more appropriate additions and a west-facing porch, to create a more comfortable weekend home for a New York City couple with grown children. The size and scale of the additions emphasize the grace of the original structure and are in tune with the mature trees and natural landscape of the 3½-acre historic farm property on which it is situated. GPSA is also designing a new 2,300 square foot guest barn, informed by the style and aesthetics of the Main House and its adjacent 19th century barns, and landscape designer Perry Guillot is creating a new setting for the house and guest barn and designing a new pool.
